How to configure VPN connection (Mac OS X)?

  1. From the Apple drop-down list, select the System Preferences... menu.
  2. Click the Network icon.
  3. Under the service list (left pane), click the + icon.
  4. In the Interface dropdown box, select VPN menu.
  5. In the VPN Type dropdown box, select PPTP menu.
  6. In the Service Name box, type the VPN name and click the Create button.
  7. Select the VPN service that you had just created.
  8. Leave the Configuration selection to Default.
  9. In the Server Address box, type the host name or IP address of the proxy.
  10. In the Account Name box, type the user name to connect to the proxy.
  11. Click the Authentication Settings... button.
  12. In the Password box, type the password, and click the OK button.
